Sara graduated from Sciences Po at the Euro-American Campus in Reims, France. After an exchange year to United States at Rutgers University, she came back to Europe and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Security at the Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po Paris.
Originally from Serbia, Sara worked as a youth group coordinator for the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Serbia for two years, where she was in charge of various projects aimed at promoting peace and reconciliation among her peers. While completing her Bachelor’s degree at the Euro-American campus of Sciences Po, she co-directed the student organization The Distinguished Lecture Series, hosting established professionals and academics such as the Cultural attaché of the US Embassy in France, the Israeli Ambassador to Paris, France’s TF1 lead news anchor, and the Director General for Democracy in the Council of Europe, amongst others.
Beginning in May 2015, Sara worked on the preparatory process for UNGASS 2016 with Students for Sensible Drug Policy. Through a consultation that included thousands of youth around the world, our team launched a youth position paper at the CND session of the UN Office in Vienna, focusing on expanding the youth voice in the policy-making process and encouraging policy-makers to an open dialogue at UNGASS.
