Support HR 1523: the Respect State Marijuana Laws Act of 2013
Last week, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher [R-CA] introduced HR 1523, the Respect State Marijuana Laws Act of 2013. In summary, this sensible piece of legislation would modify the federal Controlled Substances Act so that:
- any individual acting in compliance with state marijuana laws would be immune from federal prosecution; and
- any marijuana business, medical and non-medical, operating in compliance with state law would be immune from federal prosecution.
