Artists

Why You Matter

Try as we might, it's impossible to get as many people pumped about a lecture as it is to get them pumped about a live show.  Music is by far the easiest path towards the ears of young people across the globe. As lovers of live music, and passionate activists, we understand that feeling of inspiration when young people hear artists singing about the issues they care about. Until recently, it didn't occur to us that these same artists might not realize how many people they are inspiring - and the changes they are influencing.  We want to give you the chance to see the change you make. By tapping into new fan bases of politically motivated young people you will see firsthand the change you inspire in the world!

What You Can Expect From Your Local Chapter

-Bookings at local college campuses and venues in the area.
-Promotion through political and social multi-media outlets.
SSDP chapters have a track record of organizing successful events. The same dedication that we bring to changing drug policy, we'll bring to promoting your show.

Dedicated Street Teams

There are 150 SSDP chapters at colleges and universities all over the country.  Chapters will have access to your contact information through our website and will receive encouragement and guidance from our national office on how to book and promote your band.

Media Resources

SSDP is a heavily networked organization, largely because we are made up almost entirely of college students.  Not only are college students passionate and energetic enough to help promote your band, they are also the most knowledgeable and experienced users of modern media outlets of any population.

SSDP's website is visited by up to 2,000 people a day.  On our AMPLIFY page we will have a photo, biography, and link to your band's site.
Our social networking sites are growing everyday. By communicating with chapter leaders your events would be posted on Facebook, Myspace, and Youtube accounts and exposed to a new audiences.

More than 50,000 people are subscribed to SSDP's news and action alert list, which we will use to promote the AMPLIFY project.
