A call for creativity!
Drug Policy T-Shirt Design Contest
SSDP is searching for new t-shirt ideas, and we'd love to hear what you've got. We sell t-shirts at conferences, gatherings and other events as well as on our website.
If your design is selected, not only will SSDPers and supporters around the country be wearing your idea, but you'll also get a travel and lodging scholarship to attend our international conference in the Spring of 2010 (location and date to be announced soon)! You’ll also get one of the t-shirts that you designed.
Please contact Stacia Cosner at stacia@ssdp.org with any questions or concerns.
The deadline for the t-shirt competition will be July 15th.
A few guidelines:
- A good t-shirt design will not only help us raise funds, but also get our message out there and promote SSDP.
- If you've got graphic design skills, feel free to submit a completed design, but if not, don't let that stop you from submitting an idea or slogan that someone else could develop visually. Images should be vector or 300dpi raster.
- There is a fine line between edgy and offensive, so if in doubt, it might be good to err on the side of edginess.
- Please do not use imagery that could be construed as celebrating drug use. While images of drugs (like marijuana leaves) do not necessarily promote use, our culture tends to view it that way, so we try to use images that more directly relate to policy (like handcuffs, gavels, prisons, etc).
- Because we'd like to keep an arsenal of awesome ideas and graphics, anything submitted to SSDP will permit us to use them in the future. You are free to protect your art under Creative Commons licensing prior to submission: http://creativecommons.org/license/
This site has some of our older t-shirt and other product designs on it. They can give you an idea of what we have already done.
