SSDP's Northeast (NE) region is comprised of schools located in:

Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York [[1]], New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington DC.

According to the US. Census Bureau, this region is composed of New England and the northern portion of the Mid-Atlantic states[[2]].

Historically the Northeast has been one of SSDP's strongest and most active regions. This is because SSDP was founded at RIT, in the Northeast, making it the 1st region. In addition to this history, the proximity to the national office, located in Washington D.C., has given many chapters the additional support and resources they need to develop new and well planned events and campaigns. Though it encompasses the smallest area physically, the high density of population and schools has allowed the NE region to maintain its strength.
