Tom Angell

Tom Angell currently serves as SSDP's government relations director and is responsible for representing students' concerns on Capitol Hill and in the media. He has served in SSDP's national headquarters since October 2004 and has also held the roles of communications director and campaigns director.

Prior to joining SSDP's full-time staff, he served on the national SSDP Board of Directors and founded the University of Rhode Island SSDP. He also interned at the Marijuana Policy Project and co-founded the Rhode Island Patient Advocacy Coalition which successfully passed a medical marijuana law in that state.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys listening to music, taking walks outside, watching films, reading, and debating political and philosophical issues with friends and foes alike.
