We are happy to announce the second date for our United Nations Advocacy Webinar on Thursday, January 30th at 17:30 CET (11:30am EST, 8:30am PST). If you would like to participate, please email me at orsi.feher@ssdp.org.
The webinar will follow the flow of Students for Sensible Drug Policy’s Youth Advocacy Handbook, introducing the global drug control system and the latest developments taking place around the world ahead of the United Nations’ Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) annual meeting in 2020.
During the webinar, we will focus on the work of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, the central policy-making body of the global drug control system, and the position of young people/advocates within this system. The Commission meets every March for a week in Vienna, Austria to discuss drug policy issues and adopt resolutions on the direction of international drug control for the coming year(s). We will explore global and regional opportunities for engagement and our Global Fellow Orsi Fehér’16 will answer any and all of your related questions.
The webinar will be hosted over Skype and there will be no recording, so make sure you tune in before SSDP nominates its delegation for the upcoming convening. To join the call, just shoot an email to your Global Fellow, Orsi, at orsi.feher@ssdp.org!
