Alaina Jaster

Dr. Jaster is a neuropharmacologist and science communications expert. She received her PhD in Pharmacology & Toxicology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her primary research focus has been on the use of translational models across species to learn about neuronal markers of addiction, depression and trauma to better inform development of new treatments, with a focus on serotonergic compounds. Dr. Jaster is now Head of Communications at Xylo Bio, Co-chair of the SSDP Science Policy Committee, and co-founder and lead content creator for the Psychedelic Brain Science podcast.
