Diane Goldstein

Diane Goldstein is a prominent figure in criminal justice and drug policy reform, known for her speaking, writing and lecturing. She joined the Redondo Beach Police department in 1983 becoming the department’s first female lieutenant, overseeing various divisions. An expert in crisis negotiations and critical incident management , she has made significant contributions to national training guidelines. Motivated by personal tragedy, she advocates for improved mental health and addiction support within the justice system. She has been the Executive Director at the Law Enforcement Action Partnership since 2021 and holds degrees in criminology, law and society and legal studies.
