Join Us at the FDA Psychedelic Public Hearing
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is holding a public hearing on “Considerations for Potential Future Therapeutic Use of Psychedelic Drugs” both in person and virtually September 14th, 2026 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET.
In collaboration with federal partners, the FDA is looking to collect responses and viewpoints on the therapeutic use of psychedelic drug products in supervised and supportive settings. While requests to present at the hearing are closed, registration to attend (both in-person and virtually) is still open.
After you have registered, make sure to fill out our interest form to get involved with SSDP events surrounding the hearing.
After the hearing, Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) plans to host a mixer for the community to come together and discuss the hearing. A fireside chat will also take place with psychedelic experts discussing what the hearing means and the future of psychedelic policy.
The next day on September 15th, SSDP will hold a lobby day in D.C. calling for Congress to act on psychedelic policy and research.
