Two dangerous ballot initiatives, 25-09 and 25-10, threaten to undermine cannabis legalization in Massachusetts. Since Massachusetts voters legalized adult-use cannabis in 2016, the state has reduced arrests, lowered youth use rates, and created a thriving, regulated industry–but all this is at risk if these measures pass. Don’t let prohibitionists take away the great progress Massachusetts has made in advancing cannabis equity!
If passed, these measures would:
- Reintroduce criminal penalties for possession of two ounces or more, ripping apart families and destroying countless lives;
- Damage Massachusetts’ successful adult-use cannabis market, likely costing thousands of jobs and millions in tax revenue by 2028;
- Impose strict potency caps on cannabis, limiting patient access and creating demand for unsafe alternatives that could harm public health; and
- Roll back years of progress in reducing cannabis-related arrests and promoting responsible use.
