Overview
Colin Scherzer is a student studying psychology and religion Florida State University, expected to graduate May 2025. He has been a member of SSDP at FSU since his freshman year in 2021, and took over as President in fall 2024.
Colin is passionate about harm reduction and peer to peer education on college campuses in order to end preventable drug deaths and reduce drug related harm. He hopes to have a career in research relating to drug use and harm reduction for an organization such as NIDA.
Colin is also an avid music festival attendee and enjoys having open minded conversations with people running harm reduction services at these events. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to music, DJing, yoga and being in nature.
Fun fact: Colin’s favorite job was being a children’s yoga instructor 🙂
