gina vensel

gina vensel is a communications strategist, event producer, and advocate working at the intersection of plant medicine, public health, and drug policy reform. She serves as the Director of Communications and Events for Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP), is an Appointed Director on SSDP’s Board of Directors, and member of SSDP Pittsburgh Community Chapter.

gina is the co-founder of Plant Media Project, a boutique marketing agency supporting psychedelic and plant medicine organizations through strategic campaigns, event production, and community engagement. Her recent work includes managing media and community partnerships for MAPS Psychedelic Science 2023 and 2025, Horizons New York, Horizons Northwest, and Psychedelics As Medicine. 

She also co-founded the Three Rivers Psychedelic Society (TRiPS) in Pittsburgh and serves as an advisor to both the Global Psychedelic Society and the Psychedelic Parenthood Community, supporting efforts to build inclusive, informed, and intentional psychedelic communities.
