Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) is excited to invite you to join our new Law & Justice Committee!
This committee is a space for people interested in legal advocacy—lawyers, law students, and anyone interested in leveraging the law to end the War on Drugs and mitigate the harms of it.
The committee will track drug policy, identify opportunities for lobbying or legal advocacy, and take action, including through expungement clinics, participation in hearings and court cases regarding drug policy, and lobbying for better drug policy.
We also want to hear from you about what kinds of legal advocacy you’d like to engage with.
Whether you’re experienced in legal advocacy or looking for ways to get involved for the first time, we’d love to have you join us in working towards a safer and more just future as part of the Law & Justice Committee.
Our first meeting will be Wednesday, August 20 at 3pm EST.
Fill out the interest form to join the committee and get the calendar link!
