10 Days to Decriminalize 🍁

We have a unique opportunity this year to finally decriminalize marijuana—and there’s just TEN DAYS left to take action.

You’ve probably heard that marijuana may soon be moved to Schedule III of the Controlled Substances Act. That’s an improvement over where it is now, but it’s not enough.

Schedule III will not stop arrests, it will not release a single person from prison, it will not break the paper shackles of a criminal conviction, and—as we have seen play out across the country—legalization without decriminalization puts a target on the backs of every young person, who is now more likely to have their future destroyed by police intervention and arrests.

We need you to submit public comments to tell the Biden Administration marijuana must be descheduled. President Biden Biden must deliver on his campaign promises to decriminalize marijuana, invest in communities, repair the harms caused by the War on Drugs, and treat state-licensed marijuana businesses like all other American businesses.

The deadline for commenting is July 22nd and we now know that several groups in favor of prohibition have been pushing hard for comments as well—it’s important that we really get the word out as much as we can.

The more comments we can submit in favor of descheduling marijuana, the better our chances of finally legalizing cannabis this year!

Every 31 seconds, another person is arrested for a drug offense in the United States. It takes just 30 seconds to submit a public comment calling for marijuana decriminalization using our tool.
