SSDP Welcomes gina vensel to Board of Directors

Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) is elated to welcome our newest appointed Board member, gina vensel.  gina’s addition to the board is an exciting time for our organization, and we are looking forward to integrating her vast expertise in advocacy, marketing, fundraising, event coordination, and combating stigma into our work.

gina vensel is a marketing and media professional, events producer, and activist. She is the Co-Founder of Plant Media Project, a boutique marketing agency for the cannabis and psychedelic industries and the owner of Easy Street Promotions, an events company in Pittsburgh for over twenty years.

gina serves as the Director of Marketing & Sales for Horizons, the longest running psychedelic learning and community event in the world, as well as the Director of Marketing for MAPS Psychedelic Science 2023, the largest psychedelic conference in history.

She also sits on the Board of Directors for TEDxPittsburgh, a locally organized TED event as well as sits on Pittsburgh NORML‘s Executive Committee.

gina is a plant medicine educator and activist working to end the stigma and fighting for drug decriminalization as part of Students for Sensible Drug Policy Pittsburgh Community Chapter. She currently advocates for statewide cannabis legalization and psychedelic therapy in Pennsylvania as well as national reform. With gina on our team, SSDP is better positioned to bring these reform efforts to reality.
