SSDP's national staff is based on both coasts of the United States and is employed to serve, represent, and grow SSDP's chapter network.

Board of Directors

Two thirds of SSDP's board of directors are students who are elected by SSDP's chapters each year during our national conference. The remaining third is appointed by the board in order to bring outside expertise and experience to the organization. SSDP's executive director also serves on the board of directors.

The board of directors represents SSDP's chapters at the national level and crafts strategy for the organization. They also hire and oversee SSDP's executive director.

This weekend (February 4th through 6th), our chapter at Florida State University will be hosting the first ever Florida Regional Conference and would like to invite you to join us in Tallahassee, Florida for networking, training workshops, and expert presentations to help us refine our skills as advocates working to end the war on drugs. UConn SSDP successfully changes a campus marijuana policy

Following a meeting with student government leaders on January 30, 2011, the University of Connecticut’s Office of Community Standards altered its penalties for students found in possession of small amounts of marijuana, equalizing the punishment with underage drinking.
