The Board of Directors has recently voted to change the number of years for Director terms from 2 years to 3 years. This decision was reached by the board for the reasons below:

  • An additional year provides more opportunities for projects and professional development
  • Provides continuity as we continue to transition as an organization
  • Standard Non-profit Board of Directors have a term limit of at least 3 years

This change went into effect immediately, therefore,  the Senior Board Class has been invited to stay for an additional year. To ensure this change remains within the confines of our Bylaws, we will be changing the amount of board seats for Congress from (5) Seats to (4) Seats. This will make the person in the fifth seat to serve as first alternate for the board.

You can access this change to the bylaws at this link. Congress Applications are still open and will close at 11:59pm PST Friday, March 18th. Please use this link to apply.

As always if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to to reach out to the Bylaws + Rules Committee or the Congress Committee
